The Women got the day off to a great start with a comprehensive victory against Cambridge Women at Fenner's in the morning. Oxford bowled out the Tabs for 81 and chased down the total with six overs left! Add this to the girls winning their BUCS league, and beating the Army and MCC Women it has been a good year of results, well done girls!
Unfortunately, the Mens Blues Twenty20 was abandoned. Before play begun there was heavy rain which the groundstaff did very well to clear. The game started at 4.45pm and was reduced to 17 overs a side.
Cambridge scored well posting 149-5 off their 17 overs. Paul Best scoring a well taken 50. In reply for Oxford, Ben Jeffrey and Sam Agarwal were at the crease on 23-0 off 3.2 overs. The game was setting up well for a grandstand finish, when the rain poured down again. Unfortunately, play was then abandoned.
