OUCC vs Army Men's T20 Match Report

The Men's Blues have this week completed our annual 2xT20 day against the Army in preparation for next Friday's Lord's T20s. This fixture is excellent preparation for the side, and is always played in a great spirit.

This year, we were blessed with excellent weather at the Parks, with the Men's Blues put in to bat first in the first game. With destructive innings from Saqlain Choudhary (36) and Justin Clarke (47) the Blues reached a total of 156 off their 20 overs. In reply, the Army batting was stifled by excellent bowling - particularly from Saqlain Choudhary to record figures of 5-14 contributing to a dominant 49 run victory

In the second game, the Army won the toss and batted first - racking up an impressive total of 169-5 as the OUCC bowlers toiled in the heat. In reply, the OUCC chase fell 23 runs short despite efforts from Dhruv Talati (38) and Toby Brown (32). All in all, this was an excellent day of cricket in the Parks that will prepare both sides well for their respective matches at Lord's.
