OUCC join Essex CCC to Celebrate 100 Years of Cricket at Chelmsford

OUCC were delighted to be invited by Essex to commemorate 100 years of first-class cricket at Chelmsford. The first match, 100 years ago was Essex CCC vs OUCC and the scorecard for this match (and photos) can be found below. 

During the lunch interval of the County Championship match vs Hampshire, representatives of OUCC were invited on to the pitch. The club was presented with a commemorative cap which will be framed and take pride of place in the University Parks Pavilion. Ex-Oxford Blue and Essex member Tom Bury was also given the honour of ringing the bell before the 2nd day of the match.
