We are delighted to announce that OUCC’s bi-annual tour will be taking the club to India in March 2026. Notably, this will be the club’s first-ever combined tour, featuring both the Women’s and Men’s Blues Squads, travelling together from 15th–25th March 2026 to Bengaluru and Goa.
The tour will see a 30-strong travelling party, including 14 women’s players, 13 men’s players, and two officials, spending the first part of the tour based in Bengaluru. Both squads will train and compete at leading facilities, including Just Cricket Academy and Futures Cricket Ground, playing a varied programme of 40-over, 30-over, and T20 fixtures against strong local opposition. These matches will provide valuable preparation ahead of the university season and we encourage alumni and friends of the university in the region to support.
Alongside the cricket, the tour offers a strong cultural element, with local sightseeing and a full-day excursion to Mysore and Srirangapatna, giving players the opportunity to explore historic landmarks and gain a broader understanding of the region.
The tour will conclude in Goa, where both squads will take on local opposition. This final stage of the tour will allow players to apply what they have developed over the preceding days in a different environment, while also experiencing Goa’s distinctive coastal setting, providing a well-rounded conclusion to the tour both on and off the field.
Overall, the tour represents an excellent opportunity for both squads to experience Indian cricketing culture, strengthen team cohesion, and prepare thoroughly for what promises to be an exciting season, as both sides push for further success in BUCS and improved performances in their respective Varsity fixtures.
Tours have long been a defining part of the OUCC experience, with many alumni fondly remembering overseas tours as highlights of their time at the club. If you are interested in supporting our tour, we would be delighted to hear from previous members keen to be involved with the next generation of OUCC players.
