OUCC Relationship with Child Bereavement UK

Child Bereavement UK helps children, parents and families to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Supporting children and young people who are facing bereavement, and anyone affected by the death of a child of any age, CBUK also provide training to professionals and volunteers in health, social care and education, equipping them to provide the best possible care to bereaved families.

Child Bereavement UK has been a very important charity to my wife and I since our oldest son Edward died aged 8 whilst at school in Oxford in 2000. They provided an outstanding and very personal service at a desperate time, with each of us given weekly counselling by a different trained counsellor who had also lost a child. My wife has subsequently been a Trustee of the Charity for the allowed two terms and is now a Patron and we have both raised much needed funds for them. It gives me great pleasure to be able to sponsor Oxford University Cricket and promote Child Bereavement though this continued link. Child Bereavement is, I believe, a very important Charity for the Pandemic that we are living through. The Charity supports both Parents that have lost their children as well as children that have lost their parents, grandparents or siblings.
